Arrive at Skardu Airport via the morning flight from Islamabad—a spectacular 50-minute journey that offers views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram giants from your window. Our representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel. Skardu sits at 2,228 meters, and you'll feel the altitude in the cool, dry air. Afternoon free to explore Skardu's local bazaar, where you can pick up any last-minute supplies. Early dinner and early night recommended. Early morning departure from Skardu in our 4x4 jeeps. The drive follows the Sheosar Road, a rugged trail that climbs steadily from the valley into the Deosai Plains . The landscape transforms as you ascend—from the arid mountains around Skardu to gradually greening slopes, then suddenly opening onto the vast expanse of the plateau. Cross the park entry point at Chilam Chowki, where permits are checked and the tarmac ends . Continue across the plains, crossing streams and glacial moraines, with snow-capped peaks appearing on all sides. Stop at Kala Pani (Cold Water) for lunch beside one of Deosai's most beautiful streams . Begin the drive back across the plains, descending toward Skardu. Stop for final photographs at viewpoints along the way, watching the plateau recede in the rearview mirror. Arrive Skardu by early afternoon. Transfer to a hotel for freshening up and lunch (own arrangement). Evening transfer to Skardu Airport for the flight back to Islamabad, or overnight in Skardu for those extending their stay. Note: Deosai is a remote wilderness—there are no hotels, shops, or restaurants inside the park, and mobile phone coverage is nonexistent . Weather at this altitude can change rapidly; sunny skies can turn to snow flurries within hours, especially in early June or late September. Your guide has authority to modify the itinerary based on conditions, and we ask for patience when changes are necessary. The jeep safari involves crossing streams and rough terrain—be prepared for a bumpy ride. Camping temperatures drop near freezing even in peak summer, so warm sleeping gear is essential . We provide all camping equipment except personal sleeping bags. Fishing permits require advance arrangement—please notify us at booking if interested.
